WINTER means snow and lots of it! The miles of snowmobile trails attract snowmobilers from all over the world. The views are amazing and the trail system is fantastic. Ski mountains are just miles from our door: We're 2 miles from Attitash and within 20 minutes from Bretton Woods. Cranmore Mountain in North Conway is 15 minutes way. Other mountains in the area are, and a short scenic drive away, are Black Mountain in Jackson, Wildcat, Cannon Mountain, Loon Mountain, Wildcat Mountain, and Gunstock.
SPRING brings snow melt - and the fisherman. Mother nature awakens! Explore the valley during this special quiet time. There are several streams and rivers to choose from for fantastic fly fishing. The lakes and ponds offer an abundance of active salmon and trout. Fishing is a major spring attraction. Several area festivals and events are held to celebrate spring here in New Hampshire, while some visitors travel for thousands of miles just to sample fresh maple syrup boiled in one of our local maple sugar houses.
SUMMER is short and sweet - warm days and 80 degree temperatures are common. Plan on a wonderful time and visit the many scenic wonders of the White Mountains: The Flume, Lost River, Franconia Notch State Park, and several entertaining theme and water parks that are fun for both young and the young at heart.
FALL is a busy time for the final fishing of the season and the beginning of hunting season. Bear, moose, deer, duck and turkey hunting brings in the sportsman. Take a drive through the country and absorb the spectacular fall foliage of brilliant and breathtaking colors!.
